Male, 10 months old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped

The lovely Basil is around 10 months old and was born in rescue. His mum, a full Springer Spaniel, came into our care when her owners realised they needed support after discovering she was pregnant. She arrived with us just a few days before giving birth. Basil’s dad is a Shar Pei cross, smaller than a typical Shar Pei.

Basil has been well socialised and raised around other dogs. He has had his puppy vaccinations and is microchipped and neutered.

He’s looking for a home with people who have the time, patience, and energy to guide a puppy into becoming a well‑balanced adult dog. Puppies shouldn’t be left alone for long periods, so full‑time workers without suitable arrangements won’t be the right match. We would like Basil to go to a home with another dog as this is what he has been used to.

Although we can’t say for certain, we expect Basil and his siblings to grow to around average Spaniel size.

Basil is currently in a foster home in the Market Weighton area, and potential adopters will need to be able to travel there to meet him.
